Mr. Billy Joe Best, age 60 of Hardwick Loop passed away June 16, 2014 at McLeod Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. Mr. Best was born February 10, 1954 a son of the late Stanley and Pauline Hardwick Best. He was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church, and a board member of Ashpole hunting club. Mr. Best retired from the City of Conway Public Works Department after 26 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving Mr. Best in addition to his wife Thalia V. Best of the home are, one son, Doyle Jennings Best (Katherine) of Charleston, two daughters, Leah Hollifield (Jonathan) of Florence, Anna Phipps (Travis) of Aynor, one brother, Johnny Best of Fork, one sister, Donna Bruton of Conway, three grandchildren, Rhys Hollifield, Zoe Hollifield, Jennings Best, one nephew, Tink Bruton, three nieces, Melissa Williamson (Gary), Bethea Best, Jenna Bruton, one great nephew, Jacob Williamson, one great niece, Reagan Williamson.
Visitation
Visitation will be held Wednesday June 18, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home from 5-7 PM.
Funeral Service
Funeral services will be held at Rehoboth United Methodist Church 11:00 AM Thursday June 19, 2014 with the Rev. John Watts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
