Mrs. Barbara James Skipper, age 88, wife of the late Rufus Skipper Jr. passed away November 3, 2016 at Mullins Nursing Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Skipper was born January 23, 1928 a daughter of the late John Byrd and Sallie Johnson James. She was predeceased by one son, James Michael Skipper, one granddaughter, Kelly Lynn Collins, and one brother, Wayne Hughes. Mrs. Barbara was a member of the First Baptist Church of Aynor. She was a member of Woodmen of the World, a past member of the Eastern Star, and loved gardening and farming. Mrs. Barbara is survived by one son, Russell "Rusty" Garrett Skipper (Missy), one daughter, Cheryl Skipper Collins, all of Aynor, SC, one brother, Johnson "Joe" James of Goose Creek, SC, three sisters, Evelyn H. Funderburk of West Columbia, SC, Betty J. Mew of Little River, SC, Miriam James Moore of Aynor, four grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

VISITATION

Visitation will be held Saturday November 5, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home of Aynor.

FUNERAL SERVICE

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday November 6, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Aynor with the Rev. Micah Lane officiating.

BURIAL

Burial will follow at the Aynor Cemetery.
