April 28, 1959 – May 8, 2025
Mr. Barry Martin, age 66, entered into his eternal home with Jesus on Thursday, May 8, 2025, while being surrounded by his wife and children. Mr. Barry was the son of the late Eldon and Jessie Lou Sarvis Martin. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother-in-law, Henry Flowers; and father and mother-in-law: Al and Wilma Tirrell. He was a faithful life-time member of Gethsemane Baptist Church where he served the Lord as a Deacon and Song Leader. Mr. Barry inherited the trait of farming from his father and continued in his legacy farming cows, hogs, and crops. He has since passed his knowledge down to his children and grandchildren. Mr. Barry was a faithful husband for 45 years, loving father, and the best "Granddaddy Barry" to his grandchildren. Surviving Mr. Barry is his loving wife, Karen Martin; three sons: Drew Martin (Tiffany), Trent Martin (Ally), and Brett Martin (Cassie); five grandchildren: Madelyn Martin, Evan Martin, Doc Martin, Nolan Martin, and Gunner Martin; two sisters: June Lambert and Sharon Flowers; brother-in -law: Anthony Reynolds (Jeanie); and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. The family will receive friends May 10, 2025, at Gethsemane Baptist Church from 2:00 – 3:00 PM. A funeral service celebrating Mr. Barry's life will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Gethsemane Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Gethsemane Baptist Church Youth 4461 Nichols Hwy, Galivants Ferry, SC 29544.
