Mrs. Betty Rose Hardwick, age 78, passed away following an extended illness surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Hardwick was born February 26, 1945, a daughter of the late Moses and Polly Carroll Rabon. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hardwick was also predeceased by five brothers: Billy Rabon, Kenneth Rabon, Grady Rabon, Charlie Rabon and Earl Rabon; and one sister: Mary Allsbrook. She loved singing, dancing and playing her guitar. Mrs. Hardwick also enjoyed being outside doing her yardwork, planting flowers and fishing. She is survived by her four daughters: Wendy Hardwick (Stephen Graham), Sandy Schumacher (Andy), Adriane Spivey (Jamie) and Betsy Hyman (Benji); the father of her children: James A. Hardwick Jr.; eleven grandchildren: Stormy Howard (Dylan), Rivers O'Quinn, Cole O'Quinn, Matt Norris (Ashley), Aaron Norris (Emmie), Andrea Hughes (Seth), Bailey Huggins, Lexi Roberts (Lake), Landen Roberts (Morgan), Farrah Hyman and Allie Hyman; and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Hardwick's visitation will be held from 1:00 – 1:45 PM Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Poplar United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Ragsdale Allsbrook officiating. Entombment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Poplar United Methodist Church, 5095 N. Hwy. 701 Conway, SC 29526.
