Mrs. Betty L. Idol, age 89, wife of the late Johnny "Buddy" Idol Sr. passed away February 5, 2022, at her residence in Aynor, SC. Mrs. Betty was born May 3, 1932, a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Baxley Parnell. She was a member of East Rockingham Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Betty is survived by one son: Johnny "Bubba" Idol Jr. (Vickie) of Rockingham, NC; one daughter: Gloria Snead of Aynor, SC; one brother: Ronald Parnell of Stevens City, Virginia; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Visitation will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Sweet Haven Church. A memorial service will follow beginning at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Mrs. Betty's memory to Crescent Hospice, 1516 East Hwy. 501, Unit 101 Conway, SC 29526.
