Ms. Betty R. Pittman Tyner, age 77 of Lumberton, NC passed away peacefully Friday, June 7, 2024 surrounded by her family at Conway Medical Center. She was born on December 22, 1946 in Robeson County, NC. Ms. Tyner was preceded in death by her husband: Larry Tyner Sr.; her parents Albert and Dorothy Pittman; two sisters: Faye Allen and Patricia (Trish) Mayers; and one brother: Roy Pittman. Ms. Tyner is survived by one daughter: Rhonda Tyner Lane; one son: Larry (Sim) Tyner (Wendi) all of Aynor, SC; five sisters: Margie Smith (Wayne) of Oak Island, NC, Shelby Wilcox of Lumberton, NC, Deborah Conner of Proctorville, NC, Susan Pittman (Gene) of Lumberton, NC, Sharon Edwards (Glen) of Fayetteville, NC, one brother: Jimmy Pittman of Whitehouse, Tennessee; one sister in law: Diane Barnes Pittman: six grandchildren: Kaytee Nielsen, Morgan Tyner, Zachary Lane, Gavin Tyner, Peyton Lane and Cameron Lane: four great grandchildren: Aydan Scott, Kinnsleigh Bentley, Rhyleigh Bentley, and baby Micah Bentley due in October; also several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 5:00 - 6:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary in Lumberton, NC.  A Celebration of life for Ms. Tyner will be held following visitation at 6:00 PM at the Floyd Mortuary.
