Blake J Rabon's Obituary

Mr. Blake "Bill" Jameson Rabon, age 25, son of Mr. and Mrs. Palmer and Lisa Rabon, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 10, 2022 after a long courageous battle. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents: Rev. Grover Johnson and Juanita "Neat" Rabon Johnson. Blake was born March 2, 1996. He was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church. Blake attended Aynor High School where he was a member of the Golf Team and was the first player to make a hole in one. Later, he enjoyed being the Assistant Coach for the Aynor High School Girl's Golf Team. He never met a stranger and always put a smile on people's faces. Blake enjoyed life. He loved the Lord, his family, playing guitar, drawing and cars. Blake and Johnson Holiday created God's Family of Prayer, a Facebook page where anyone could ask for prayer and give praise reports, and he began a Bible study group that quickly out grew his home in numbers and had to be moved to the church where so they would have room to meet. Blake was a huge sports fan, and his favorite team was the Carolina Gamecocks. He will be remembered as a great person and friend. Since 2016, Blake fought the good fight, he finished his course, and he kept the faith.  In addition to his parents of the home, Blake is survived by one sister: Brooke Rabon Hardee (Lazaro); his nieces and nephew: Anistyn, Mark, and Lilyann Hardee; maternal grandparents: David and Joyce Chestnut; his aunt and uncles: Kevin Chestnut (Kara), Bill Rabon, Junior Rabon (Pat), Lois Martin, Miriam Owens (Steve), Wayne Rabon, E.J. Skipper, Tony Johnson (Alyson), Joe Johnson (Kim), Diane Abercrombie (Gene), and many special cousins, golf buddies, friends, and extended family. Services for Blake will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Pleasant Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Johnson and Robert Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit briefly after the service at the cemetery.
