Mrs. Bonnie Cooke, age 77, of Conway passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, August 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Mrs. Cooke was the wife of the late Floyd Cooke and daughter of the late Harry and Melissa Sawyer Hucks. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by three siblings: Tommy Hucks, Lila Ruth Hucks, and Raymond Hucks. Mrs. Bonnie was a "One of a Kind" type person and there will never be another one like her. She was a heavy machine operator that could work with the best of them. She was a very talented musician that loved to play and sing gospel and bluegrass music. If she wasn't playing music, you could find her hunting, fishing, messing with horses, or shooting her guns. She played and coached softball all around the Grand Strand. Surviving Mrs. Bonnie is her daughter: Kim Gasque (Thomas), two grandchildren: Havanna Gasque Turner (Blake) and Dalton Gasque; five great grandchildren: Maci Anderson, Addi Turner, Ryan Turner, Harper Turner, and Bethany Turner; and her life long friend: Judy Smith. Visitation for Mrs. Bonnie will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 10 -11 AM at Johnson Funeral Home of Aynor. A funeral service will follow beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. Becky Jones officiating.
