Calhoun Rabon's Obituary

Mr. Calhoun Rabon, age 84, of Galivants Ferry, passed away January 1, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family, leaving behind a void that can never be filled.  Born on February 24, 1941, Mr. Calhoun was a man of wisdom, kindness, and unwavering guidance who affected more than just his family.  Through his work as a farmer and woodworker, he touched countless lives, and his legacy of hard work and fierce love will live on through all who had the honor of knowing him.  Calhoun Rabon was a dedicated husband to Linda Rabon for 62 years, and a devoted father to Lonnie Rabon, Keith Rabon (Samentha), Bradley Rabon, and Kevin Rabon (Amber). He was a proud Papa to five grandchildren, Blade Rabon, Cheyenne Rabon, Conner Rabon, Payton Rabon, and Emma Rabon.  Mr. Rabon was predeceased by his parents, Addie Thompkins Rabon and Albert Marvin Rabon; three sisters: Dorothy Fox, Freddie Squires, and Vick Martin; seven brothers: Sherwood Rabon, Winston Rabon, Ellie B. Young, Tolar Rabon, Grant Rabon, Durham Ragon, and Burroughs Rabon. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Rehoboth Community Church with Rev. Billy Phillips officiating.  The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall before the service from 2:00 -2:45. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Rehoboth Community Church 471,4 Nichols Hwy Galivants Ferry, SC 29544.
