Mr. David Earl Prevatte, age 81, of Lake Wylie, SC passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at Atrium Healthcare in Pineville, NC.  Mr. David was married to the love of his life, Mrs. Doris Elizabeth Shelley Prevatte for 58 years.  He was the son of the late Robert and Martha Lucy Smith Prevatte.  Mr. David is a veteran of the United States Army where he served as a paratrooper.   Mr. David loved to spend his time fishing, camping, and working in his garden.  In addition to his wife Mrs. Doris, he is survived by one son: Ricky Earl Prevatte (Wendy); one daughter: Lafaye S. Walters; two grandchildren: Mkenzy Rayne Walters and Aaron Logan Prevatte; one brother: Paul Prevatte; and three sisters: Marie Rowell (Buddy), Robbie Watson, and Wilma Prevatte.  A graveside service will be held for Mr. Prevatte at 1:00 PM Monday, January 25, 2021, at The Aynor Cemetery with the Rev. Dean Conner officiating.  Please remember to wear a mask and practice all social distance guidelines.
