Mrs. Debra Allen, age 71, wife of Steve Allen of Plantation Road, went to be with her Lord and Savior from her residence surrounded by her loving family on Monday, August 5, 2024. Debra was born January 21, 1953. Debra is predeceased by father, Dock W. Frye and survived by her mother Elizabeth (Lib) Winburn Frye; husband Steve Allen; one son: Heath Allen (Ruby); one daughter: Angie Hilburn (Rev. Randy); four grandchildren: Tanner Allen, Eli Allen, Dock Allen Hilburn and Eva Grace Hilburn who were all the apple of her eye; two sisters: Vicki Frye Jordan (Steve) and Amy Frye Grainger (Craig). Debra was an active member of Berea Baptist Church and the Red Hat Club. Prior to retiring from the United States Postal Service of 25 years she worked at the Aynor True Value and also worked as a Federal crop adjuster. After retirement Debra was always ready to travel with her family or friends especially if the trip involved shopping. She will always be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and joyful caregiver. Debra loved life to the fullest. However, what she loved most was her family. She spent every opportunity supporting and encouraging them in all their endeavors. Debra met Steve, the love of her life when they were in the 5th grade. Their relationship continued to grow into a faithful marriage of 53 years. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services for Debra will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Berea Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Hilburn and Rev. Ragsdale Allsbrook officiating. Due to the weather, a private burial will be held at Pleasant Union Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.
