Dorothy Mae Foxworth

Mrs. Dorothy Mae Foxworth, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Foxworth was born on March 22, 1935, daughter of the late Earl and Hattie Mae Boreland Wooten. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Foxworth was also predeceased by her husband, Donald W. Foxworth Sr.; one son, David Earl Foxworth; one grandchild, Angela Adams; five sisters, Gladys VanVlake, Peggy Pope, Junita Watford, Evelyn Mercer, and Earlene Prince Williams; and one brother, Earl Wooten Jr. Mrs. Foxworth was an active member at Six Mile Crossing Church of God from the 1970’s until 2017, when she had to move. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, word puzzles, and old western TV shows. Mrs. Foxworth loved her family deeply, along with her many animals and flowers. Before retirement, she enjoyed substitute teaching with Georgetown County School District. Mrs. Foxworth is survived by one son: Donald W. Foxworth Jr.; two daughters: Deborah Johnson and Joyce Donelli (James); nine grandchildren: Chrystee Foxworth, Regina Carr, Amanda Sprowles (Josh), Charlene Marsh (Chandler), Stacey Miller (Bob), Anthony Foxworth, Khrista Runyen (David), Rachel Bright (Calvin), Jacob Johnson; and many, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service for Mrs. Foxworth will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Georgetown, SC. After the services, the family will visit with friends at the cemetery.
