Earl Wayne Johnson, age 82, of Galivants Ferry passed away May 12, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Johnson was the son of the late Shafter and Lillian Creel Johnson. He was predeceased by four brothers, Curtis, Waldo, Donald, Clarence, and two sisters, Hazel and Sylvia. Mr. Johnson was a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church, where he currently served as Sunday School Treasurer. He was a 33rd degree Mason and a member of the Jordanville Masonic Lodge #297 for the past 60 years, where he served as Master many times and as Treasurer for many years. He was a boilermaker welder and was employed with Santee Cooper for many years until his retirement. His greatest joy in life was his children and grandchildren. He loved spending time with them. Mr. Johnson loved fishing, hunting, and sitting on the porch of the river house at Jordan Lake. He will truly be missed. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mrs. Marionelle Roberts Johnson, four daughters, Jan West (Willie), Iris Sessions, Diana Hucks (Archie), Denise Hucks (Hank), seven grandchildren, Brian West, Nicole Van Voorhis, Stephanie Owens, Christy Peavy, Courtney Epps, Elder Hucks, Randall Sessions, 14 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL SERVICE

Funeral services will be held 5:00 PM Monday May 14, 2018 at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Floyd and Rev. Michael Lee officiating.

BURIAL

Burial with Masonic Rites will follow in the church cemetery.

VISITATION

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:00-4:45 PM in the church fellowship hall.
