Elden A. (Arnie) Pelletier, 84, of Galivants Ferry, SC, passed away January 2, 2026, after an extended illness.  He was predeceased by his parents, Firmin L. Pelletier and Priscilla L. Pelletier, his siblings: Catherine Avalone and Adelbert Pelletier.  He is survived by his wife, Valerie A. Pelletier; a sister, Joan Paradis of Maine; daughters: Michele' Klippert, Denise Morgan; stepchild: Stephanie Clark; grandchildren: Christine Klippert, Brooke Klippert, R. Lane Morgan III, Rachel Morgan, Michael Karam, and Robert Karam; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  He served in the US Navy from 1960 to 1964 on the USS Meredith and for two additional years in the reserves.  He worked as a consultant Engineer for 37 years with FM Global.  He enjoyed snow skiing, hunting, fishing, motor cycling, golfing, camping, cruises, and traveling to exotic locations.  He had many fond memories of Dewey Beach, DE, where he resided many years before relocating to SC. He was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.  A memorial service and celebration of life will be planned at a later time.  In lieu of flowers, send donations to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Foundation, 1414 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401-7335.
