Mrs. Elise Rabon Dix, age 91, of Aynor, SC, passed away on November 21, 2025, at McLeod Loris Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Dix was born on November 14, 1934, a daughter of the late Clyde and Fannie Allen Rabon. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Mr. Cecil Dix, and one sister: Elwood Rabon Lambert. Mrs. Dix was a lifelong member of Salem Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. While attending church at Salem, she was a diligent and hard-working member, serving on multiple committees throughout the years. Mrs. Dix retired as the Postmaster from the Galivants Ferry Post Office and was the past president of the Rural Letter Carriers Association Ladies Auxiliary. She was past matron and secretary of the Aynor OES and held various state offices. Mrs. Dix's family was her whole world. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved deeply. She always put her family first and was loved by all who knew her. Mrs. Dix is survived by her son, Terry Dix of Charlotte, NC; two daughters: Cherri Dix of Aynor and Tanya Dix Merritt (Wade) of Conway; two grandchildren: Brandon Anderson (Nikki) and Matthew Anderson (Kelli); two great-grandchildren: Ella and Elana Anderson; and one brother: Jimmy Rabon. Visitation for Mrs. Dix will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Home of Aynor, and her funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Salem Baptist Church with the Rev.
