Mrs. Elizabeth "Lib" Ward, age 80 wife of Mr. Larry Ward passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Lib was born February 12, 1944 a daughter of the late Quentin C. and Corine Johnson Cook. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lib was also predeceased by one grandson: Blake Ward; one sister: Bonnie Godsey; and two brothers; Truluck Cook and John Cook. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and retired from Midland Elementary School following 31 years of service. She loved all her family dearly. Mrs. Lib is survived by her husband, Mr. Larry Ward of home; two sons: Dennis Ward (JoAnn) and Douglas Ward (Alitia); one daughter: Denise Ward; three grandchildren: Elizabeth D. Ward, Ashtin Delaune (Ben) and Ansley Elvis (Alec); two brothers: George Robert Cook and Raymond Cook; and one sister: Fay Berry. Visitation for Mrs. Lib will be held from 10:00-10:45 AM Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Dean Connor officiating. Burial will be held at Aynor Cemetery.
