Mrs. Emily Hucks Johnson, age 56, wife of Mr. Chad Johnson passed away December 2, 2024, at McLeod Seacoast following an extended illness. Mrs. Emily was born February 19, 1968, a daughter of the late Archie Elder and Carolyn Carmichael Hucks. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters: Omelia Hucks, Tammy Jordan and Renee Johnson. Mrs. Emily loved spending time at her beach house and at the river. She will be remembered for her loving outgoing personality and being a loving wife, mother, and (Emmy) as her grandchildren called her. In addition to her husband Chad of the home, Mrs. Emily is survived by one son: Huxley Johnson; one daughter: Kacie Barnhill (Devin); two grandchildren: Bristol and Wyatt Barnhill; one brother: Archie Hucks (Dianne); one sister: Debra Barnhill (Mike); two brothers in laws: Morris Jordan and Bruce Johnson; a special friend: Nevely Graham and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visitation for Mrs. Emily will be held from 2:00-2:45 PM Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Johnson Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 3:00PM. Burial will take place at Rehobeth Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, www.donate.cancer.org, or mail to P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
