Mr. Eugene Baxley, age 81, of Galivants Ferry went on to be with his Lord and Savior September 1, 2020.  Mr. Baxley is the loving husband of 58 years to Carolyn Hughes Baxley.  He is the son of the late Joseph Rollen and Bessie Todd Baxley.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Eugene Baxley was predeceased by two sisters: Carrie Bell Roberts and Lucille Brown; and one son in law: Joey Fleming.  Mr. Eugene was a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church.  He loved being outdoors hunting, fishing, and farming.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children:  Ken Baxley (Damaris) of Aynor, Annette Fleming of Conway; Jimmie Baxley (Sheila) of Galivants Ferry; five grandchildren: Brox Baxley (Bree), Adalyn Harrelson, Braxton Fleming, Jena Baxley, and Bryce Baxley;  five great grandchildren: Drake Harrelson, Kensley Harrelson, Brinkley Harrelson, Haisley Harrelson, and Brightin Baxley; one brother: Douglas Baxley of Conway; and two sisters: Margie Martin of Marion and Doris Brown of Aynor.  A Graveside Service will be held for Mr. Baxley 10:00 AM Thursday, September 3, 2020, at Mt. Herman Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Floyd officiating.  The family will visit briefly with friends following the service at the cemetery before returning home.  Memorials may be made in Mr. Eugene Baxley's honor to Mt.
