Mr. Francisco Javier Ruiz Gómez, age 54, unexpectedly passed away on May 6, 2026. Francisco was born May 23, 1971, in Choluteca, Honduras, a son of the late Gonzalo Ruiz Maradiaga and Juana Paula Herrera Gómez. He was also predeceased by one brother: Mario Ruiz Maradiaga. Francisco was a member of Liberty Fellowship International Church in Mullins, SC. He was a God-fearing man and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and friend. Francisco was a simple man who enjoyed watching football, soccer, going out to eat with his family, and spending time with his friends discussing the Bible and scripture. He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. April Ruiz, two sons: Christian Anthony Ruiz and Elias Abran Ruiz; two daughters: Sayla Serenity Ruiz and Alesia Grace Ruiz; two brothers: Isaias Ruiz and Rafael Ruiz Gómez; and two sisters: Alma Celina Ruiz Herrera and Noemi Amparo Herrera. A church handled memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Pleasant View Baptist Church. The family will visit with friends following the service.
