Mr. Frank Dayton "Pops" Johnson, age 78, passed away surrounded by his loving family February 1, 2017 at his residence on Gary Road. Mr. Johnson was born October 7, 1938 a son of the late Sam Mace and the late Eula Madge Rabon Johnson. He was predeceased by one great grandson, Carson Buckles, four brothers, Windell, Fred, Edward, and Carlise Johnson, and one sister, Irene Jones. Mr. Johnson was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church. He retired from the Horry County School District. Mr. Johnson enjoyed spending his time farming and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather that loved all his family dearly. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mrs. Bonnie Gerrald Johnson, two sons, Jeffery Johnson of Conway, Michael Johnson (Helen) of Aynor, one daughter, Sherry Sellers (David) of Conway, two brothers, Earl Johnson (Pat) and Carl Johnson (Connie) all of Aynor, three sisters, Barbara Bell of Loris, Mildred Martin (Wesley) of Aynor, Margie Johnson of Aynor, five grandchildren, Tonya Strickland, Ashley Johnson (Will), Amber Scott, all of Conway, Andy Strickland (Brandy) of Aynor, Breanna Cox of Conway, ten great grandchildren, and three sister in laws, Sara Johnson Ward, Linda Johnson, and Donna Johnson.

VISITATION

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday February 3, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Home of Aynor.

FUNERAL SERVICE

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday February 4, 2017 at Pleasant Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Dock Rabon officiating.

BURIAL

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
