Mr. Gary L. Smith, age 64 husband of Mrs. Gayle B. Smith passed away June 17, 2016 at Grand Strand Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Mr. Smith was born October 18, 1951 a son of Izzie Alford Parrott and the late LaRue Smith Sr. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church, the Horry County Higher Education Commission and was a devoted supporter of Coastal Carolina Athletics. He loved his community, playing golf, spending time with his family and grandchildren. In addition to his wife Mrs. Gayle of the home, Mr. Smith is survived by one son, Jamie Smith (Laurie), and their children, Railey, Cody, Holly all of Aynor, one daughter, Tiffany Norris (Jereme) of Sugar Hill, Ga., one brother, Wayne Smith (Anita), of Columbia and children, Kirk, Carolyne, and Scott, one sister, Phyllis Evans of Aynor, and her children, Barry, Archie, and Kristie, father-in-law J.W. Bailey and sister-in-law Joan Slayter of Sugar Hill, Ga., as well as many loving aunts and uncles.

VISITATION

Mr. Smith's family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday June 21, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home of Aynor.

FUNERAL SERVICE

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday June 22, 2016 at Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Herrington officiating.

BURIAL

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
