Mr. George H. Hardwick, age 81, of Aynor passed away at his residence Sunday, December 3, 2023.  Mr. George was the husband of Alice Barnhill Hardwick since June 5, 1982 and the son of the late George J. and Estelle Crawford Hardwick.  Mr. Hardwick was a member of Aynor Methodist Church and a graduate of the class of 1960 from Mullins High School.  He is a past member of the Mullins Lions Club and an Honorary Game Warden and Sheriffs Deputy with Marion County.  Mr. George was elected to 4 terms with the Mullins City Council and was employed with Davis National Bank for 38 years.  He was the Finance Director for the city of Mullins and retired as the City Administrator.  Mr. Hardwick is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mrs. Alice Hardwick; four children: Dawn Hardwick, Chris Hardwick (Shannon), Allison Peters (Steve) and Mary Elizabeth Rogers (John); five grandchildren: Hunter Jackson (Debra), Taylor Morgan (Russell), Triston Hardwick, Julian M. Rogers, and Aurelia Estelle Rogers; and five great grandchildren.  The family would like to extend thanks to Hospice Care Amedisys nurses and caregivers.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 PM Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Aynor Methodist Church.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at Aynor Methodist Church with the Rev. Kelly Snelgrove officiating. Burial will take place following the service at Rehoboth Community Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in honor of Mr. George H.
