Mrs. Geraldine "Gerri" Roberts Chestnut, age 76, wife of the late Albert Wilson Chestnut, passed away August 23, 2016 at Kingston Nursing Center surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Chestnut was born December 25, 1939 a daughter of the late Hubert James and Nettie Richardson Roberts. Mrs. Chestnut was a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church and a former member of The Redeemed gospel group. Mrs. Chestnut retired from Aynor High School after many years serving as a special Aide Assistant where she assisted children with special needs. She is survived by two sons, Dennis Chestnut (Marsha) of Nichols, Derrick Chestnut of Aynor, one daughter, Donna Skipper (Harold Dean) of Galivants Ferry, two brothers, Windell Roberts and Doug Roberts both of Conway, four sisters, Marionelle Johnson of Galivants Ferry, Elaine Shelley of Surfside, Judi Brooks of Conway, Debbie Alford of Galivants Ferry, seven grandchildren, Zack Miller, Dustin Skipper, Kaitlin Miller, Darah Skipper, Caid Chestnut, Conner Chestnut, Rebecca Sarvis, and one great grandchild, Tristen Skipper.

FUNERAL

Funeral services will be held 5:00 PM Thursday August 25, 2016 at Mt. Herman Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Floyd officiating.

VISITATION

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
