Mr. Hamp Allen, age 78, husband of the late Evon Britt Allen, passed away at Grand Strand Medical Center October 29, 2016 following an extended illness. Mr. Allen was born October 3, 1938 a son of the late Jasper L. and Eitha Graham Allen. He retired from the South Carolina Electric and Gas Company after many years of service. Mr. Allen is survived by one son, Jasper "Pete" Allen of Knife Island, SC, one daughter, Kandie Allen of Galivants Ferry, SC, two brothers, J.E. Allen of Galivants Ferry, SC, Quince Allen of Marion, SC, eight sisters, Katherine Hardwick, Erline Hardwick, Yvonne Kay, all of Galivants Ferry, SC, Velma Page, Betty Elvis, both of Marion, SC, Evelyn McDonald of Florence, SC, Barbara Nell Smith of Lake City, SC, Gertrude Smith of Conway, SC, three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

MEMORIAL SERVICE

A church handled memorial service will be held 5:00 PM Tuesday November 1, 2016 at Mt. Trolly Freewill Baptist Church.

VISITATION

Visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall.
