Mr. Hartford Douglas "Doug" Godbolt, age 69, husband of Mrs. Deborah Boyette Godbolt, passed away at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Doug was born July 28, 1952, a son of the late Hartford and Alice Hughes Godbolt. He attended Bakers Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Doug loved farming and took great pride in his hay, and he could fix anyone's hay baler. In addition to his wife of the home, Mr. Doug is survived by one son: Kelly Godbolt (Nora); one daughter: Kara Godbolt Marion (Mike); three grandchildren: Molly Marion, Ruthie Morris, Gavin Godbolt; and four sisters: Betty Shelley, Linda Johnson, Audrey Godbolt, and Mickie Godbolt. The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45 PM Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Bakers Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM in the church sanctuary.
