Mrs. Helen Leitha James, age 91, wife of the late Jack Byrd James passed away October 14, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family following an extended illness. Mrs. James was born August 23, 1924 a daughter of the late Mack Nelson and Helen Reynolds Roberts. Mrs. Leitha was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church. She was a loving and giving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. Mrs. Leitha was always willing to help anyone in need. She was predeceased by two brothers, W.N. and Hayes Roberts, one sister, Gladys Rheaurk, and two daughter in laws, Debbie and Jean James. Mrs. Leitha is survived by her two sons, George Dennis (Tump) James and Derrick (Button) James both of Galivants Ferry, two daughters, Jackie Hardwick (Edward) of Aynor, and Dixie Ray (Ricky) of Galivants Ferry, ten grandchildren, Eddie James of Galivants Ferry, Jeff James of Conway, Adam James of Columbia, Dane James (Nicole) of Columbia, Derrick James Jr. (Michelle) of Galivants Ferry, Nick James (Renee) of Aynor, Amanda Hardwick (Ira) of Surfside, Garth Squires (Heather) of Aynor, Seth Squires of Aynor, Rena King (Bart) of Galivants Ferry, twenty great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.

VISITATION

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday October 16, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home of Aynor.

FUNERAL SERVICE

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday October 17, 2015 at Pisgah United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jane Pearce, Rev. Jeremy Todd, and Rev. Johnny Jenerette officiating.

BURIAL

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
