Mrs. Helen Owens Roberts, age 85, wife of the late J.C. Roberts, passed away September 28, 2022 at Carolina Gardens of Conway. Mrs. Roberts was born September 10, 1937, a daughter of the late Rob and Prudence Harrelson Owens. She was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church where she loved going to church. Mrs. Roberts supported the Child Evangelism Fellowship Program where she taught about the Lord after school at Aynor Elementary for many years and she loved working in her yard. She is also preceded in death by her son: Joseph Russ Roberts; three brothers: Francis Owens, Fulton Owens, and Vernie Lee Owens; and three sisters: Dorothy Thompson, Josephine Skipper, and Winnie Hunt. Mrs. Roberts is survived by one brother: Billy Owens and his wife Rosalia; two sisters: Fanny Smith, and Geraldine Page and her husband Larry; and many special nephews, nieces, extended family and several very special friends. The family would like to thank Carolina Gardens of Conway and their staff for all the love and care that they provided to Mrs. Roberts. Graveside services for Mrs. Roberts will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Floyd officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
