Mr. Ivan Darryl Best, age 64, of Galivants Ferry passed away at his residence on August 11, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.  Mr. Darryl was the son of the late Forrest Best and the late SM and Janet Graham Reynolds. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by two brothers: David Best and BB Best; and his grandparents: Mason and Joyce Graham.  Mr. Best was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the VFW.  He retired from EZGO golf carts after years of service being a mechanic.  Papa loved his grandkids, nieces, and nephews dearly.  Surviving Mr. Darryl was his wife, Pam Hilburn Best; one son: Chris Best (Anna); one daughter: Amanda Best Mishoe (Kevin); four grandkids: Abby Best, Erica Best, Sadie Mishoe, and Madison Mishoe; four brothers: Willie Kynn Best (Becky), Keith Best, Scott Best (Debbie), and Curtis Best (Sandra); one sister: Melissa Best Harrelson (Jason); one sister-in-law: Kathy Best; and many nieces and nephews.  A visitation for Mr. Best will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2024, from 6-8 PM at Johnson Funeral Home of Aynor.  Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Happy Home Baptist Church with the Rev. Jon Johnson and Rev. Randy Hilburn officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Happy Home Baptist Church 2864 Nichols Hwy, Galivants Ferry, SC 29544.
