Mr. James H. Butler, age 90 Husband of Mrs. Bertie Johnson Butler passed away April 17, 2018 at his home. Mr. Butler was born June 16, 1927 to the late Fred Rufus and Ruth Mae Causey Butler. Mr. Butler is predeceased by his late wife of 42 years, Mrs. Edna E. Butler, and one step son, Tony Johnson. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Butler was known for his love of his family, his passion for coon hunting, coon dogs, and Harley Davidson's. In addition to his wife of the home, Mr. Butler is survived by two son, Britt Butler of Gallivants Ferry, Fred Butler of Nichols, one daughter, Dora Hensley (George L.) of Batesburg, SC, four step daughters, Karen Hughes, Shelia Johnson, Denise Johnson, all of Galivants Ferry, Cynthia Anderson of Aynor, one brother, Bill Butler of St. Paul's, NC, two sisters, Helen McPherson of St. Paul's, NC, Elizabeth Smith of Wake Forest, NC, four grandchildren, Kip Butler, Hilary Green, Brittany Cannon, Skyler Butler, four great grandchildren, and many step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and step great-great grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICE

Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Norman Johnson officiating.

BURIAL

Burial will follow at the Aynor Cemetery.

VISITATION

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 3:00-3:45.
