James (Cedra) Ecedra Richardson's Obituary

Mr. James Ecedra (Cedra) Richardson, age 75, passed away on June 17, 2024 at his residence.  Cedra was the middle son of the late Arthur P. and Mary Kate Cox Richardson.  Cedra was a US Army Veteran that served his country in Vietnam from 1969 – 1970 with the 1/1 Cavalry Americal Division, B Troop.  He was a graduate of Aynor High School, class of 1968 and a 48-year Mason of the Graddy Lodge #257.  You could always find him porch sitting in his rocking chair surrounded by family and friends of the Dog Bluff community.  Surviving Mr. Cedra is his wife: Jeanie S. Richardson; mother: Sarah Frances Richardson; two sons: Eric Richardson and Chad Richardson; one daughter: Shana Richardson; granddaughter: Kyleigh Richardson; grandson: Jude Richardson; three brothers: Ted (Chummy), Luke (Robyn) and Kim; one sister: Rolanda Boyd; one sister-in-law: Elise Gasque Richardson; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Cedra was predeceased by two brothers: Jimmy and Danny (Mary Ann) Richardson.  A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Rehobeth Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Stevie Baker officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the homeplace of Mr. and Mrs. Cedra Richardson.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in honor of Mr. Cedra Richardson to Epworth Children's Home 2900 Millwood Ave Columbia, SC 29205.
