Mr. James "Jimmy" Edwards, age 84, passed away December 31, 2020 at McLeod Loris Hospital following a brief illness.  Mr. Jimmy was born September 2, 1936, a son of the late James Frank and Ila Jane Martin Edwards.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Jimmy was predeceased by a special friend Brandon Strickland.  Mr. Jimmy had a loving heart and he loved being outdoors farming, gardening, and working the land.  Most people knew him as the "Collard Man".  He is survived by two sons: Jimmy Ray Edwards (Deana); Keith Edwards; his former wife: Dorothy Edwards; two grandchildren: Josh Edwards (Anne); Jaime Johnson (TJ); four great grandchildren: Nathan Roberts, Kylie Johnson; Luke Johnson; Micah Johnson; two sisters:  Barbara Edwards Barnhill and Pearl Edwards Reynolds.  Mr. Jimmy had many special friends: Petrina Buffkin (friend of 27 years), Angie Hilburn (Doug), Storm Strickland, Nevaeh Hinson, many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and his beloved pets, Rock and Bullet.  Graveside services for Mr. Jimmy will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Aynor Cemetery with the Rev. Kevin Lambert and Rev. Don Squires officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ICU Department at McLeod Loris Hospital, 3655 Mitchell Street Loris, SC 29569.  Please remember to wear your mask and follow all social distancing guidelines.
