Mr. James Carl Hardwick, age 82, of Conway, SC passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  Mr. Carl was the son of the late James Arthur and Prudie Maybell Jones Hardwick.  In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his first wife, Patsy Land Hardwick and one brother, Samuel Jerry Hardwick.  Mr. Hardwick was a veteran of the United States Navy.  He was employed with Planters Chemical Company in Norfolk, VA for many years.  Mr. Carl loved to spend his time fishing.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida Mae Hardwick; one son: Scott Carl Hardwick (Rebecca) of Virginia Beach, VA; one brother: James "Jimmy" Hardwick, Jr. (Sylvia) of Conway; and three grandchildren: Lillian Hardwick, Madison Hardwick, and Patrick Hardwick.  Funeral services for Mr. James Carl Hardwick will be held 5:00 PM, Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Sullivan officiating.  Visitation will be held beginning at 4:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.  A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, January 29, 2021 at Willow Wood Cemetery 1265 Sandbridge Road Virginia Beach, VA 23456.  Please remember to wear you mask when attending the service and practice CDC guidelines for social distancing.  In the event you are unable to attend the service, it will be live streamed on Johnson Funeral Home Facebook page.
