Ms. Janet Kay Long, age 62, passed away at her residence March 20, 2023, with her loving family by her side. Ms. Long was born April 18, 1960, a daughter of the late Bradley Blankenship and the late Geraldine Harris. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by two brothers: Berlin and Donnie Blankenship, and one sister: Debbie Blankenship. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Ms. Long is survived by two sons: George Long and James Long; one daughter: Kizzy Blankenship; five grandchildren: Tiara Flanary, Katelyn Flanary, Eric Long, Georgia Long and Dakota Long; four great grandchildren: Nevaeh Nicole Nesmith, Jayden Jermaine Nesmith, Elliana Shipton and Castiel Shipton; three brothers: Robert Simpson, Jeremy Harris, and Shannon Blankenship; and one sister: Robbie Jean Blankenship. Graveside services for Ms. Long will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Bayboro Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will visit with friends following the service at the cemetery.
