Mrs. Janice Ann Perritt Baker, age 80, wife of the late Malcolm Baker, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026, at McLeod Seacoast in Little River. Mrs. Baker was born August 28, 1945, a daughter of the late Barney N. and Mabel Cook Perritt, and was also preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Malcolm Baker, and one brother, Billy Newman Perritt. She was a member of Valley Forge Baptist Church and will be remembered as a hardworking, special, devoted grandmother who loved her family, church, and God. Mrs. Janice is survived by a son, Darren Baker (Marilyn); two daughters: Wanda Jones and Kristy Baker; eight grandchildren: Christopher David Jones (Hayley), Cody Baker (Nita), Justin Scott Jones, Jonathon Malcolm Baker (Taylor), Patrick Hunter Lee Hursey (Michelle), Adrianna Maria Hursey (Dalen), Bryson Christopher Lee Hursey, Corbin Matthew Lee Hursey; ten great grandchildren; four brothers: Herman Perritt (Katie), Charles Perritt, Hollis Perritt (Geraldine), and Robert Perritt (Cindy); and her sister and best friend: Bonnie Jones. Visitation for Mrs. Janice will be held before the funeral, from 1:00-1:45 PM, Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Valley Forge Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow, beginning at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Randy Baker officiating. Burial will be held at Bayboro Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org. Funeral service will be livestreamed, and a guestbook is available to sign at www.johnsonfuneralhomeaynor.com.
