Joann Ackerman Lewis, of Galivants Ferry has gone to be with the Lord at 80 years old on February 25, 2025, in the comfort of her home. She was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church for many years. She was a Godly woman with a servant's heart who has a hand in raising many children. She loved her family and friends, gardening, Belk's, and being the best caretaker possible. She is predeceased by her husband, Vernon Lewis; father and mother, Elzie L. Ackerman and Edna Davis Ackerman; and brothers: E.J, Wesley, and W.C Ackerman. She is survived by three sons: Stanley Lewis, Gregg Lewis (Kristi), and Burney Lewis (Jennifer); six grandchildren: Kassie Lewis, Lauren Herrington (Graham), Kiley Brooke Lewis, Emma Grace Lewis, Reagan Lewis, and Blakely Lewis: six great grandchildren: Kenzie, Lilly, Layla, Kade, Wrenley Kate, and Colsen; two sisters: Connie Muckenfuss (Lonzo) and Jean McDaniel (Randy). Visitation will be at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, 3pm on Friday, February 28, 2025.  Funeral services will follow beginning at 4pm with Rev. Jimmy Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Memorials can be made in honor of Mrs. Joann Lewis to Mt. Herman Baptist Church 2453 Brunson Spring Road, Galivants Ferry, SC 29544.
