Mr. Joey Lundy Jones, age 66, passed away Monday, October 12, 2020 after a long battle with Leukemia while at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born March 3, 1954 in Georgetown, SC the son of the late Jesse Joe and Mildred Lundy Jones.  Joey was a true southern gentleman with a big heart full of love for God, family, and country.  He was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church.  Mr. Joey graduated from USC in 1976 with a BA in Business Management.  He was employed by New South Lumber and Canfor Southern pine for forty years, ending his career as Fiber Quality & Security Manager.  He is survived by his wife, Myra of Aynor, SC; two daughters: Jennifer Richardson and Jill Jenerette (Jody), both of Conway, SC; one sister: Jo Ann Smith (Howard) of Conway, SC; two granddaughters: Jenna Richardson and Ruby Anna Jenerette; and many other family and friends that he loved dearly.  A Graveside Service for Mr. Jones will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Lakeside Cemetery, 401 Lakeside Ave. Conway, SC 29526, with Dr. Ray Lundy and Rev. Dr. Mark A. Shimer officiating.  Visitation will be held at the cemetery following the service.  Memorials may be made in Mr. Joey's memory to: Rehoboth Community Church, 4629 Hardwick Loop, Galivants Ferry, SC 29544.  Please remember to practice social distancing and follow all CDC recommendations when attending the service.
