Mrs. Josephine Owens Skipper, age 85, of Hwy 501 West passed away August 4, 2015 following an extended illness. Mrs. Skipper was born in Horry County a daughter of the late Robert and Prudie Harrleson Owens. Mrs. Josephine was a member of Galivants Ferrry Baptist Church for over sixty years, where she served the Lord in all aspects of the church and she later attended Faith Baptist Church. She was predeceased by three brothers, Vernie Lee Owens, Fulton Owens, Francis Owens, and one sister Dorothy Owens Thompson. Surviving in addition to her husband Mr. Marvin Skipper of the home are three daughters, Dianne Skipper Pate (Andy) of Aynor, Connie Skipper Mishoe (Sam) of Socastee, Marsha Skipper Jordan (Richard) of Conway, one brother, Billy Owens ( Rosalie) of Summerville, four sisters, Fannie Smith of Aynor, Helen Roberts of Galivants Ferry, Geraldine Page ( Larry) of Greensboro N.C. and Winnie Hunt of Tampa Florida, four grandchildren, Matthew Pate of Atlanta, Ga., Andrew Pate of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jarrett Barnhill of Conway, Larry Wise (Laura)of California, one great- grandchild Peyton Joseph Barnhill of Conway.

FUNERAL SERVICE

Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Friday August 7, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home chapel.

VISITATION

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 2:00-4:00 PM at the funeral home.

BURIAL

Burial will follow in the Aynor Cemetery.
