Obituary

Mr. Joshua Floyd Hardwick, age 42, unexpectedly passed away October 1, 2025. Mr. Hardwick was born December 8, 1982, a son of Mr. Hayward and Wanda Deas. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and was always ready to go fishing. He will be remembered as a quiet but loving caring person that would do anything for his family. Mr. Hardwick is predeceased by his paternal grandparents: Hamp and Mildred Hardwick. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hardwick is also survived by one daughter: Kaleigh Hardwick; one son: Bryson Hardwick; his grandmother: Mary Francis Brittian; two brothers: Jeremy Hardwick and his wife Stacey, and Jay Daft and his wife Laurel; one sister: Jennifer Hardwick; two step brothers: Justin Deas and his wife Shelia and Jeremy Deas; a special niece: Lexi Blackburn; his aunts and uncles: Renee Hardwick, Deanna Carter and her husband Larry, Susie Barnhill and her husband Danny, Connie Cribb and Randy Floyd; special cousins: Rachael Brown and her husband Rev. Rusty, Kelly Rabon, Whitney McCracken and her husband Jonathan, and Gabriel Barnhill and his wife Jordan. Funeral services for Mr. Hardwick will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Rusty Brown and Rev. Timmy Hodge officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 3:00-3:45 PM. Burial will follow at Rehoboth Community Church Cemetery. Memorials can be made in Mr. Joshua Hardwick's memory to the Disabled American Veterans, www.dav.org.
