Julia Elizabeth Watson, 72 of Galivants Ferry, SC went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday December 16. She was the daughter of the late John Emory Watson Jr. and Gladys Watson Page, and step daughter of the late Jamie Page. She was predeceased by one brother, John Emory Watson III. Surviving Ms. Watson are two brothers, James C. "Punk" Page and his wife Bonnie of Lexington, SC, Howard Wayne "Stank" Page and his wife Jan of Colorado Springs, Colorado, one sister, Sarah Page Meselson of Cape Cod, Mass., one sister in law Judy Watson Harville of Augusta, Ga., two nieces, Karen Watson Evans and Jennifer Page, two nephews, John Watson IV and James Page. Julia was a graduate of Aynor High School where she was a championship basketball player. After graduation she attended Anderson Jr. College. She had a long successful career as a division manager of Avon Products for 35 years. After retiring in 2003 she moved back to her home in Galivants Ferry. She became involved in the foster parent program, and the Pilot Club. She was a member of Aynor United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the choir. Julia was a loving person and caring friend. She cherished her family and made many lasting memories that the family will always treasure.
Memorial ServiceA church handled memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Monday December 22, 2014 at Aynor United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joyce Murphy officiating.
VisitationThe family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM.
