Kennith E. Johnson

Kennith E. Johnson, 83, of Aynor, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on September 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on January 22, 1943, in Conway, South Carolina, Kennith was the son of the late E.L. Johnson and Bera Jane Johnson. He was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, and a man whose greatest joy was his family.

Kennith married the love of his life, Jean Rabon, on March 17, 1962. Together, they built a life centered around family, love, and togetherness. He was a loyal, loving husband and took great pride in the family they created together.

Kennith is survived by his children, Donna Richardson, Denise Hardwick (Heath), and Glenn Johnson (Jessie); his grandchildren, Ashton Allard (Wade), Chadwick Johnson (Taryn), Savannah Wheatley, Hannah Hardwick, Cross Hardwick (Taylor), and Zoey-Bea Hardwick; and his great-grandchildren, Parker and Charlotte Allard, Clover Wheatley, Saint and Della Johnson, and Chanleigh and Kason Hardwick. He is also survived by his brothers, David O. Johnson (Gail) and James M. Johnson (Vera); sister-in-law, Judy C. Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Kennith was predeceased by his son-in-law, Ricky Richardson; sisters, Vera Bennett and Carolyn Drew; and brother, Travis Johnson.

Throughout his career, Kennith served as General Manager of Columbia Supply, where he was respected for his dedication and dependability. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple things—especially fishing and farming. But above all, Kennith cared deeply about his family. He loved seeing his grandchildren and watching them grow, and he understood the importance of bringing family together.

Those who knew Kennith will remember him for being respectful, loyal, admirable, and, perhaps most of all, witty. His quick wit and personality brought something special to the people around him, and it is one of the many things his family will miss most.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 25, 2026, at Bethany Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends in the church from 10 – 10:45 AM. Burial at Hillcrest Cemetery will follow the service.
