Lance Garrett Jordan's Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lance Garrett Jordan on January 19, 2025, at the age of 37. Known for his heart of gold, he will be remembered as a loving father, brother, son, and friend.

Lance was born on October 3, 1987, in Aberdeen, NC, the son of Richard Carl Jordan and Gail Johnson. After his parents passed away, he was adopted by Ralph Driggers, Jr. and grew up in Florence, SC and Pawleys Island, SC. Throughout his childhood Lance excelled at sports and played basketball, football, baseball, and golf. He graduated from Camden Military Academy in 2005, where he won the Coaches Award in baseball and was MVP of the basketball team.

Lance was known by all that truly knew him as one of the kindest souls that you ever could meet. There was never a friend that he failed to help in their time of need. Lance was also equally known for meeting the world on his own terms and doing things his way. His bright smile could light up the darkest of rooms, while his boisterous laughter often rang through the walls and down the halls of any place that he happened to be. This world will doubtlessly be a little quieter and darker without him in it.

He is survived by his son, Colton Parker Jordan; his brothers Shane Jordan (Alicia), Terry Jordan (Dawn), Sean Jordan (Laura), Keith Driggers, and Clif Driggers (Christina); his father Ralph Driggers, Jr. (Gayle); countless nephews, nieces, and cousins; and his best friends Johnny Delgado and Rodney Adams.

He is predeceased by his parents, Richard and Gail Jordan; his brothers Richard Jordan Jr. and Barry Jordan; and his beloved grandmother, Louise Johnson.

Visitation will be held February 1, 2025, from 1:00-1:45 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow beginning at 2:00 PM. Everyone is welcome to join us in celebrating his life by sharing our favorite memories of him. burial will follow at the Johnson Family Cemetery.
