Dimaio, Jr.
August 9, 1950 – June 11, 2024
Mr. Louis Robert "Bob" DiMaio Jr., age 73, of Aynor, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Embrace Hospice of South Carolina. Mr. Bob was the husband of Mrs. Beverly "Bev" Dorsey DiMaio and son to the late Louis Robert and Patricia O'Neal DiMaio Sr. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by one sister, Sara Beth DiMaio. Mr. DiMaio was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church. Bob was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose generosity, selflessness and sense of humor touched many lives. In addition to being a devoted family man, he was a lifetime physical education teacher that inspired countless students over three decades of his career. After retirement, Bob could be found with Bev on the golf course, walking around his property in Aynor, or traveling throughout the country. Surviving Mr. DiMaio is his wife, Bev; one daughter: Marti Schutte (Jon); two sons: Pete DiMaio (Kim) and Jeff DiMaio (Michelle); grandchildren: Noah Berg, Luke Berg, Zach Berg, Tenley Schutte, Carah DiMaio, Kayla DiMaio, Clark DiMaio, Paul DiMaio, Colleen DiMaio, Thad DiMaio, and Nate DiMaio; two brothers: Bruce and Keith DiMaio; and three sisters: Karen Swartling, Denise Beatty, and Renee Lane.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM on Saturday, June 15, 2024, on the DiMaio property. All are welcome.
