Mrs. Marjorie Ann Ricks, age 89 passed away July 20, 2024, at Conway Medical Center. Mrs. Ricks was born November 19, 1934, a daughter of the late Grady and Essie Mishoe Cook. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Myrtle Beach and a current member of the Aynor First Baptist Church. Mrs. Ricks worked for 16 years with the Chapin Company of Myrtle Beach and 11 years with Belk's Department Store. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ricks was also predeceased by her husband: James Edison Ricks Sr.; one son: James "Jimmy" Edison Ricks Jr.; two brothers: Carl and Roy Cook; and one sister: Hazel Hughes. Mrs. Ricks is survived by one daughter in law: Felicia Ricks; two grandchildren: Tiffany Ricks Herring and Jon Thomas Ricks; three great grandchildren: Jada Ricks, Marley Ricks and J.T. Ricks; three step grandchildren: Hannah Herring, Austin Herring and Lanie Matthews; one brother: Lanny Cook and one sister: Brenda Roberts. Graveside services for Mrs. Ricks will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Hillcrest Cemetery with the Rev. Garrett Gasque and Rev. Dean Connor officiating.
