Mrs. Martha "Susan" Barnhill Johnson, age 70, of Galivants Ferry passed away June 21, 2016 at McLeod Loris Hospital after a short battle with cancer. Born December 27, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Pearl and Lucille Holt Barnhill. She was an active member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and a leader for the Women's Ministry Group. Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by an infant daughter, and two sisters, Audrey Jones and Daisy Barnhill. She was a licensed practical nurse for over 50 years and had served the last 11 years of her career at the Mullins Nursing Center before retiring in July of 2015. She carried with her a warm smile and a loving heart. There wasn't a selfish bone in her body. She will be forever missed. Mrs. Johnson was married for 51 years to her loving husband, Marvin Johnson. Together they have two sons, C. Scott Johnson (Kelly) of Aynor, Ashley M. Johnson (Crystal) of Galivants Ferry, six grandchildren, Hannah, Bailey, Dawson, Cole, Lainey Brooke, and Ridge Johnson, three brothers, Jack Barnhill (Libby) of Conway, Jerry Barnhill (Sandy), Benny Barnhill (Debi) all of Galivants Ferry, four sisters, Becky Allen ( special friend Ed Alexander) of Galivants Ferry, Alice Hardwick (George) of Aynor, Annette Graham (Jim) of Myrtle Beach, Amy Frommer (Pete) of Aiken, and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday June 24, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home of Aynor.

FUNERAL SERVICE

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday June 25, 2016 at Rehoboth United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Watts officiating.

BURIAL

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
