Mrs. Mildred S. Peeples, age 85, of Aynor passed away March 5, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Peeples was born July 19, 1938, a daughter of the late Allen and Alene Smith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Peeples is predeceased by her first husband: Zach "Curly" Martin; three sisters: Betty Hardin, Thelma Hardwick and Margaret Goff; and five brothers: Bobby Smith, Billy Smith, Ronnie Smith, Winfred Young and Ernest Smith. She was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church and loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and granny. Mrs. Peeples is survived by her husband of 20 years: Mr. Willie F. Peeples; two daughters: Sandra Best (Curtis) and Cynthia Jackson (Harold); four grandchildren: Brandi Roberts (Stevie), Joshua Hodge (Jakelynn), Zachary Moore (Kel Lynn) and Hannah Paul (Davis); seven great grandchildren: Riley Truett, Raylin Roberts, Bryson Paul, Autumn Hodge, Kendall Hodge, Evan Paul and Bentley Paul; two great great grandchildren: Lawton Hardee and River Truett; one brother: Tillman Smith; and two sisters: Phyllis Hucks and Cheryl Martin. Visitation for Mrs. Peeples will be held Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 8, 2024, at Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Baptist Church Cemetery on Barnhill Road.
