Mrs. Regina Martin Shannon, age 75, wife of the late Wallace Shannon passed away August 2, 2024, at her son's residence surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Shannon was born December 5, 1948, a daughter of the late Hubert Wesley and Dulah Mae Strickland Martin. She was also predeceased by two brothers: Shorty Martin and Ricky Anderson. Mrs. Shannon will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Mrs. Shannon is survived by her son: Stacy Wayne Shannon and his wife his wife Stacy; five grandchildren: Erika LeeAnn Shannon, Morgan Kathleen Shannon, Lilly Shannon, Isaiah Shannon and Cierra Young; one great grandson: Uriah Cato Fox; five brothers: Bo Martin (Maryland), Wayne Martin, Jerry Martin (Barbara), JT Martin (Cheryl) and Bruce Martin (Sandy); three sisters: Mary Ann Gordon, Wendy Martin Hardee (Walter) and Theresa Hardwick (Buddy); and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family that will dearly miss Mrs. Shannon. Mrs. Shannon and her family would like to thank each and every one of her care givers over the last couple years: Diane Norton, David and Mary Ann Goble, Katie Caulder, Mildred Martin, Wendy Patterson, Erin Skipper and Michelle Smith. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, August 5, 2024, at Johnson Funeral Home and at the home of Jerry Martin, 3949 Good Luck Road Aynor, SC 29511. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Pleasant Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Johnson and Rev. Ragsdale Allsbrook officiating. Private burial will follow in the church cemetery.
