Ronald
Tyler
July 25, 1938 – October 11, 2024
Mr. Ronald Tyler, age 86, of Galivants Ferry passed away Friday, October 11, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Ronald was the son of the late Wallie and Australia Tyler. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by one grandson: Ryan Tyler; four siblings: Ralph Tyler, Joe Tyler, Donald Tyler, and Hazel Dove. He was a faithful member of Berea Baptist Church since 1961. He served as Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, and sang in the choir as a high tenor. He had a 25-year perfect attendance record until his illness in 1994. Mr. Ronald was a great husband, daddy, and papa. He never met a stranger and loved everyone unconditionally. Mr. Ronald had the best sense of humor and always enjoyed making people laugh. Even over the last months of him being sick and in pain, he was always making jokes and keeping everyone laughing and on your toes. Mr. Tyler is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mrs. Betty L. Tyler; children: Phyllis Richardson (Brian), Greg Tyler (Kimberly), Steven Tyler (Valerie), and Tammy Cox (Dale); five grandchildren: Jarrett Tyler, Whitley Ricketts, Brooke Cox, Alexis Cox, and Luke Rowell; great grandchildren: Lane Boyd, Maggie Boyd, Kayleigh Tyler, Aliza Tyler, Zailey Ricketts, and soon to be born Kingston Tyler; very special niece; Lisa Meares. The family is heartbroken, but they know he is with his Lord and Savior. We will see him again one day! The family Praises God! The family would like to send a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice, especially Stacy, Lawanda, and Kelly. Visitation for Mr. Ronald will be held Monday, October 14, 2024, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Berea Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow beginning at 11:00 AM with the Pastor Steven Tyler officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor Ronald Tyler to Amedisys Hospice 402 Singleton Ridge Road, Conway, SC 29526. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
