Mr. Roy E. Abbott Jr., age 62 went to be with his Lord and Savior September 22, 2017 at his residence surround by his loving family. Mr. Abbott was born July 20, 1955 a son of the late Roy E. Abbott Sr. and the late Alberta Abbott. He was a former member of Chevrolet Baptist Church in Harlan, Kentucky. Mr. Abbott loved working and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother, Gary Lee Abbott and a son in law, Bill Lankford. Mr. Abbott is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Janet Lea Sparks Abbott, three daughters, Jill Lankford of Myrtle Beach, Amy Skipper (Aaron) of Aynor, Traci Lee (Cameron) of Conway, one sister, Barbara Huckleby (Eddie) of Kentucky, four brothers, Jerry Abbott of Oklahoma, Charlie Abbott (Jeanine) of Kentucky, Robert "Bob" Rose of Minnesota, Gary Roos (Diane) of Illinois, his grandchildren, Tyler Lankford, Jaida Lankford, Addison Bohrer, Claire Lee, Elijah Bohrer, Channing Lee, Mallie Skipper, Lilly Skipper, and soon to be baby Lee, his best friend Scott Askins, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral services will held 5:00 PM Monday September 25, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Home.
