Mrs. Shirley Dawsey Johnson, age 85 wife of Mr. Robert B. Johnson, passed away February 3, 2018 following an extended illness. Mrs. Johnson was born November 6, 1932 a daughter of the late Harley C. and LaValle Rogers Dawsey. She was a member of Aynor United Methodist Church and was predeceased by two brothers, Samuel Freitus Dawsey, Leonard Jayroe Dawsey, and three sisters, Roger Lee Vaught, Trevejo Fore, and Myrial Brock. Mrs. Johnson graduated from Lander University and retired from the Horry County School District after teaching school for 40 years. She will be remembered for her selflessness, kindness, and tireless work ethic towards her family, friends, and community. In addition to her husband of the home, Mrs. Johnson is survived by two sons, Dean Johnson of Aynor, Eric Johnson (Jena) of Winnsboro, SC, one brother, James Arlis Dawsey of Myrtle Beach, and two grandchildren, Jaycie Johnson and Reid Johnson both of Winnsboro, SC.

VISITATION

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM Thursday February 8, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Home of Aynor.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE

A graveside service will be held 2:30 PM Thursday February 8, 2018 at Aynor Cemetery with the Rev. Joyce Murphy officiating.
