Ms. Shirley Johnson, age 82, of Aynor passed away at her residence Friday, October 11, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.  Ms. Shirley was the daughter of the late James Herman and Rhoda Dimery Turner and wife of the late Travis Johnson.  In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by one son: Paul Douglas Matthews; four brothers: William Turner, Jay Turner, Joey Turner, and Julian Turner; and four sisters: Loyce Long, Lila Turner, Celia Logan, and Eugene Dyson.  Ms. Shirley loved reading her Bible, working in her flower beds, fishing and sewing.  Surviving Ms. Johnson is one son: James B. Matthews; two daughters: Becky Herron (Victor) and Rachel Long; two grandchildren: David Earl Mitchell and William Travis Gore; two great grandchildren: Riley Mitchell and Bradley Mitchell; and three sisters: Hilda Sellers, Betty Sue Staples, and Donna Lamb.  Visitation will be held October 13, 2024, from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Johnson Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home with Elder Lilly Perry officiating.  Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
